Set up your Facebook business page
You must first have a Facebook account before building your
business page. It's easy to create one if you don't already have one. You only
need an email address to create your page. Sign in if you already have an email
address.
Once you have logged in, let's get started on how to create
your Facebook business page.
Step 1:
Create new pages
Once you have logged into your account, there are three
options to create a page for your business:
Your Facebook dashboard's left side displays an orange flag
symbol representing Pages. Click on "Pages," then click "create
a new page."
To the right of the small profile picture icon in the upper
left corner, click "select the circular" to see the three-by-3
tic-tac-toe symbol. The fourth option, a flag symbol with the word
"Page," is what you should be looking for.
Follow this
link.
You'll find a section called "Create page" on the
left-hand side of your screen. This section allows you to input your company
information in three fields: page name and category.
Name of the page
This should be your business name. Many people also include
the location of their business after their company name. Although you can
change the area later, it is good to have a local address if possible.
Category
You will see related options when you type in a category for
your business. Your business can be classified into up to three different
categories. Tony, a Clarksville resident, might choose "Pizza Place,"
"Restaurant," and "Food Delivery Service."
Description
For the "about" section, add a short description
of your business. You can only put 255 characters, so keep it short and sweet.
Later, you can provide more detail.
Tony's Pizza could be described as: "We're a small,
family-run pizza place serving Clarksville for more than two decades! You can
stop by for takeout, delivery, or a family meal.
Preview for desktop and mobile
You will find a section called "Desktop Preview"
in the middle of your screen. This is intended to show visitors what you have
on your page. As you enter your company information, the net will change. To
preview the mock-up on mobile devices, you can toggle it back and forward.

Click the "create" button at the bottom left of
the screen to complete the first step.
Congratulations! Congratulations!
Step 2: Add graphics or photos
Two photos are required to be added to your Facebook
business page: A profile photo and a covering photo. These photos will be part
of your page's design and can be changed later. These photos are part of your
main page view and will not be added to any posts or albums.
Profile photo
To help friends and family recognize you, the profile photo
is where you would put a picture of yourself. It's also where your logo is
traditionally placed on your business page. Your headshot might also work well
for the profile picture, depending on your business. If you are the primary
service provider, this could work.
No need to worry if you don't already have a logo for your
company. Our Logo Maker allows you to create a logo free of cost. You can love
it, and you have a logo. You can use the placeholder photo as a placeholder
until you finish your brand design. Facebook allows you to change this photo
later.
You will need to adjust the size of your Facebook photos if
you are starting from scratch. Create a design that has custom dimensions. A
good size for Facebook profile photos is 180 pixels by 180 pixels. Sites such
as Canva often offer a large selection of templates for logo design. Keep your
brand colors in mind! It's a great time to get brand colors if you don't
already have them.
Free tools help you resize an existing logo file to fit the
page. Make a new image 180x180 pixels in size, upload your file to the
platform, and add it to the empty square space. You can zoom and adjust the
size of the logo to make it center in the desired place.

create a Facebook business page
Here's a sample of a Facebook profile picture for a business
page that relies on recognizable logos.
Cover photo
Your cover photo should be at the top of your page. This is
the best place to highlight key messages or images. You can also use a free
design tool to create your Facebook cover photo. Facebook recommends 1640
pixels by 856 pixels. However, you don't need to make a custom size if
"Facebook Cover" is selected from the design options.

Tony could search Canva to find pizza-related images and
create a cover image using the pre-made templates. Tony could modify the text
to make it his own if he liked the template.
